Align the Spine:
Rebalancing Musculo-Skeletal Integrity with OrthoPody
Webinar
by Annie Trigg & Sue Alma Evans, Wales
Annie and Sue are the authors and illustrators of The PodyCharts, a series of precise anatomical Reflexology charts reflecting each system of the body accurately onto the feet in a three-dimensional manner.
OrthoPody is a technique based upon a series of MyoContinuumFascia (MCF) charts reflecting established theories from Anatomy Trains by Tom Myers, onto the feet. Each MCF represents a chain of muscles, the relevant fascia (the forgotten anatomical system) and meridial tension lines of the body. They are graphically imaged on the anatomically-precise images of The PodyCharts. Each chain has a field measurement as an indication of movement range, pre and post OrthoPody treatment, giving the clients immediate and tangible evidence of the efficacy of the treatment.
OrthoPody treats the many issues associated with MusculoSkeletal integrity. The pain, stiffness, loss of strength and elasticity that are caused by injury, poor postural habits, atrophy of muscles, or stress, all impact heavily on muscles and fascia. Treating the MCF chains is highly effective in rebalancing strength, flexibility and integrity of movement. This webinar is 75 minutes long.

You will learn:
- To understand the concepts behind the MCF Charts & the PodyCharts.
- One of the 8 MCF charts, the Superficial Back Line and understand its functions and its importance for postural correction.
- Reflexology techniques to include, DuoPody, Effleurage, Petrissage and Energetic Balancing techniques to work the muscles, fascia and meridial tension line.
- The indicative field measurement for the MCF Superficial Back Line.

Annie has a First-Class Honours Degree in Human Movement Studies in which she majored in Sports Physiology and Evaluation of Movement. She completed her teacher training and taught Physical Education and Science for almost 15years in a high school in Cardiff. Annie re-trained in Reflexology after illness meant that she had to leave teaching. She set up her private Reflexology Practice but also was employed by the National Health Service as a Complementary Therapist treating adult patients at a Cardiff Oncology Hospital and teenagers at a Teenage Cancer Trust at the University Hospital of Wales.

Sue has an Honours Degree in Combined Studies, which included Health Psychology, her focus was on the Psychology of Health and Illness. After qualifying as a Reflexologist and completing her teacher training, she ran a busy reflexology clinic for many years and tutored Reflexology to students from her Reflexology Academy, Inspira. In 2011 she developed the Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology (highest UK qualification for Reflexology) with an awarding organization and qualification regulators, she now quality assures and standardizes the Centralia Partner Centers that offer the qualification throughout the UK and other parts of the world. Sue is currently involved in Reflexology research with consultants at the pain clinic at the University Hospital of Wales.
Annie and Sue have worked together for almost 15 years as Reflexology Practitioners, lecturers and tutors of Reflexology and developers of Reflexology techniques and charts. They have a vast wealth of diverse knowledge and believe that what they have achieved is a result of their ‘two heads being better than one’! Both have tutored Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology at Inspira Academy.
Annie and Sue developed the Duopody technique and the associated system charts, it is a bi-manual, three dimensional and systemic reflexology technique which has now been embraced by the medical profession. From 2022 Duopody Reflexology will be a module for doctors studying for their Master’s Degree (MSc) in Pain Management, at the University Hospital of Wales.
